Tipping Point Goal

Our threshold amount needed for SCAU to improve on-going activities and services is US$ 47,500. This excludes funds required for the proposed Autism Support Centre, for which SCAU will specifically lobby from conventional donors.

 Use of Funds

Once our tipping point is achieved we will be able to do the following:

• Improve on community mobilization for better participation any autism support interventions
• Pay rent for provisional outreach autism centers in the rural communities SCAU is currently engaging.
• Start awareness campaigns on radio stations;
• Providing free diagnostic services to children suspected to have autism spectrum disorders.
• Finance basic personal effects for donations to the autistic.

Up on reaching our total goal, we shall then be able to do the following:

• Expand our awareness campaigns to more radio stations, some TV stations and newspapers.
• Pay rent for the provisional autism centers for 1 year.
• Provide diagnostic services to a much bigger number of children.
• Hire provisionally required time therapists.

Money in excess of the total goal will be used to give transport and food allowance to the volunteers involved in community mobilization and awareness.

How your donation Counts

• Every $2 will feed a child living with autism for a day.
• Every $4 will provide free diagnostic services for a child on the autism spectrum.
• Every $6 will provide food and transport facilitation to a volunteer for 1 day.
• Every $8 will pay a therapist for 1 hour. This price is subsidised specifically for SCAU.
• Every $18 will pay rent for the autism centre for 1 day
• Every $30 will buy bedding for an autistic child
• Every $50 will buy 1 phonology tool
• Every $100 will keep autism awareness campaigns in the newspapers for 1 day.
• Every $200 will keep autism awareness campaigns on a radio station for 10 day.
• Every $240 will buy the autism centre 1 computer.
• Every $400 will keep autism awareness campaigns on a TV station for 1 week.
